Однако катастрофа, уничтожившая человеческую цивилизацию, оказалась рукотворной. Разработанный нацистом страшный вирус, вырвавшийся из военных лабораторий, убил большую часть человечества, а остальных превратил в кровожадных безумцев. Мир превратился в постапокалиптическую пустыню, в котором с трудом выживают укрывшиеся в подземных убежищах немногочисленные здоровые люди.
